I purchased these shorts to go along with the Symphony Tank top with an open back in the same color scheme of Blackberry. The shirt is the real show stopper, because it is super cute and different for a cycling shirt, and these shorts are a perfect compliment with the matching accents and shorter length. A perfect outfit for rides in warmer weather.I had read some reviews and was worried that they wouldn't look good on my 46 year old legs because of some cellulite but, it is, what it is, and even though you do see that I have cellulite, the shorts do look flattering on me for a shorter pair, which I do like to wear in the summer. The padding is not very thick but it is comfortable. The other shorter pair of shorts I have by a different manufacturer seem to hit me in the wrong spot and I'm always tying to pull the padding around to make it more comfortable, but I did not have any trouble with these. They were comfortable through a 20 mile ride but I probably would want to wear them on a day where I'm planning a 50 mile or more ride.These would be great in a cycling class. They have a kind of slippery feel to them against the bike seat and for some reason, that seemed to make them a little more comfortable. I was happy with how they hit me at the waist too. There are some pairs that hit at the wrong place and give a little muffin top even though I don't have a large waist.I ordered both a size M and L, they both fit really, but in comparing the two, I decided to keep the M which had more of a snug fit which is what you would want in this type of garment.My measurements are 37-29-39 and I kept the M in both the top and the shorts... I highly recommend the top and these shorts are a great match or you can get these shorts in just black if you are not trying to match it to anything specific. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product, and the price and customer service of Amazon.These shorts are incredibly comfortable. They have an excellent amount of padding, and make riding indoors on our trainer a breeze. While normally it takes me a week or two to get used to riding on the saddle again with new shorts (or rather, it takes a few weeks for my behind to adjust,) these shorts only took a few days to adjust to. They have excellent leg grip, and stretch with my legs (I have large thighs on my 5'11" frame.) They are also long enough for me to feel comfortable considering my height, which is nice for a shorter bike short.If I have any critique I would say it is that the waste band tends to be a little more loose leading me to say they fit somewhat large. Right now I am a size 18 (due to a baby and not riding for a year) and the XL fits a bit loose around the waste. I have lost about 20lbs since I started riding with these shorts, which will have some effect on the waste band. Also make sure you do not wear underwear with these shorts as that will make the padding less comfortable.These shorts have also held up well to being washed numerous times. While I never dry my bike shorts intentionally, my husband did toss them in the dryer by mistake and they held up well. However, I never recommend drying bike shorts in the dryer.Overall I highly recommend these shorts. While I have not yet ridden with them outdoors, I have enjoyed full hour spin classes and hard rides at home with them.Recently bought these so I could ride with my boyfriend tandem without feeling assaulted by the seat, and these did the trick! We do about 30 miles and I feel oh so much better now! As usual, I was worried about size. I ended up getting a medium and am keeping them. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, because they make my inner thighs look odd. The grip at the bottom (which holds them in place well!) kind of makes my inner thighs look like they are in sausage casings. Maybe if I had purchased a large this wouldn't happen? Anyway, I'm not too worried about it, so I am keeping them. For reference, I am 5'5" and 135pds. I hold most of my weight in my rear and thighs. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and recommend these shorts!Please read my update below!!! I'm unsure why people say they run very small. I went to the store to try them on in person before ordering. I'm super glad I did. They fit very true to size. I almost think I could have sized down. I am 5'4 133lbs and the small fit perfectly. Which is what I usually always wear, I also really like the length becuase it was the first pair of cycling shorts that look flattering for my shorter height and makes my legs looks slim and elongated. Ps: they are not...but the shorts sure make them look good!! I haven't ridden in them yet. I will be riding tomorrow and going for a 30 mile so I will update my review after my ride.Update!!!!!! I originally gave them 5 stars for fit but after having cycled in them I dropped it down to 2 stars. They are awful for riding long distances in. I normally put down 26-40 miles no problem in my Canari Gel shorts and these Pearl Izumis were just awful!!! At mile 6 I was already in so much pain. I was surprised when I looked at my distance and saw that I was having so much soreness and pain in such a short distance. I finished my ride at 40 miles and literally felt like I had to waddle my way home as I was in so much pain from the padding of the shorts. I just didn't feel that the chamois was enough. I will stick to my Canari Gel Pro racing line. Shame becuade the length was super cute for smaller girls like me.I have had the shorts for a couple of months now and can safetly say after using them a number of times that they are pretty nice for the price! Comfortable, No riding or bunching up. The most important things is to get the right fit. I luckily did. I went with the womens XXL which is a size I never get (I am usually womens L). At first I thought they might be a tiny bit too big but after using them for a while I have to say the fit is perfect. I am 5'10" and 170 lbs. Hope this helps those of you out there who are trying to pick the right size.Great shorts - not too long, and a nice soft waistband. Padding very comfortable for longer rides, but not so bulky that it is uncomfortable.Excellent productDie Hose ist schön geschnitten und sitzt perfekt - eben richtige "Hot Pants", aber gerade lang genug, dass der Sattel nicht scheuert. Durch den Silikonabschluss am Bein rutscht die Hose nicht hoch. Größe S entspricht 36/38. Material und Verarbeitung sind von guter Qualität, allerdings bin ich vom Sitzpolster enttäuscht. Das kann bezüglich Dicke und Festigkeit mit denen von Gonso oder Castelli nicht mithalten - daher ein Punkt Abzug.Sitzpolster ist sehr gut, Beinabschlüsse perfekt und nicht so super eng wie leider so oft. Schöne kurze Beine die aber genau über die Sattelspitze hinaus gehen und somit nichts reibt. Perfekt für das Wetter !Great service and quality product recommend highly
